Tempisque River Tour and Wildlife Safari
The tour begins with an exotic and relaxed river boat ride down the Tempisque River. During this trip your attention will be drawn to the beautiful and colorful aquatic birds. Look for reptiles such as the Jesus Christ lizard or the large green or black iguanas on the riverbanks. Listen to the call of the howler and white face monkeys. Go Hike a Volcano!
Our area has three different volcano tours to enjoy - The Miravalles and Rincon de la Vieja are the closest being a little over an hour away. Arenal Volcano is about a 3 hour drive from Playa Hermosa, Guanacaste. All three tours will provide a historical perspective into the culture of Costa Rica while learning about both active and extinct volcanoes in Central America. You will see an abundance of beautiful landscapes, climates, flora and fauna, as well as various types of forests. There will be opportunities to experience a precious hike in the rainforest, captivating views of the Arenal Volcano as well as ta soak in thermal hot springs, a dizzying walk over hanging bridges, and horse back riding along with many other opportunities to enjoy nature.
