Welcome to Villa Lantana — recently renovated — a gracious and expansive retreat perched above the bay in Playa Ocotal, Guanacaste. With four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and space for up to 12 guests, this villa offers generous modern comfort combined with dramatic views and abundant outdoor living.

Split across two levels (each level with two bedrooms and its own living area), the design grants flexibility and privacy — perfect for families traveling together or groups seeking shared space with distinct zones. The private pool overlooks the bay and horizon, inviting morning swims, relaxed afternoons and sunset gatherings.

Though tucked into the hillside, you’re only minutes from Playa Ocotal’s calm beach, local restaurants and the conveniences of Playas del Coco. The home has been beautifully updated with a fully renovated kitchen and bathrooms, creating a fresh and modern living experience. The kitchen features elegant quartz countertops, custom hardwood cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, a spacious center island with seating, and upgraded lighting throughout. The bathrooms have been transformed with luxurious floor-to-ceiling porcelain tile, large walk-in glass showers, contemporary illuminated mirrors, updated vanity cabinetry, and modern fixtures, offering a spa-like retreat for guests.

Each level includes a lounge space and (on the main level) a full kitchen. The interiors are designed for comfort: sliding glass doors, balconies, and generous living areas allow for both shared time and private spaces.

Outdoor living spaces have also been thoughtfully refreshed. Guests can enjoy beautifully refinished teak dining tables and chairs for al fresco dining, a new teak loveseat, chair, and coffee table set on the upstairs balcony, and brand-new outdoor furnishings surrounding the lower terrace and pool area, creating inviting spaces to relax and take in the stunning surroundings.

The neighborhood

Playa Ocotal and Playas del Coco are a small fishing village turned perfect tourist destination in the last decade. While not a surfing destination itself, the lagoon type beach makes it an ideal spot for enjoying the calm waters and the horseshoe shaped beach that is dotted with small bars and restaurants. There is a single main road through town complete with a variety of dining areas and quite a lively music and bar seen in the evening. This location is approximately a 45 minutes drive from the Liberia Airport.
